Patrick McCann, Ph.D. founded the Company and has been the Chief Executive Officer and Director of the Company since October 1997.  He received his B.S. in Engineering Physics from UC Berkeley in 1981 and his Ph.D. in Electronic Materials from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in 1990.  From 1981 through 1984 he worked for IBM in Burlington, Vermont, where he was on the team that developed the world’s first 1 megabit memory chip (DRAM).  Dr. McCann has been a faculty member in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Oklahoma since 1990 where he holds the position of George Lynn Cross Research Professor, the University’s highest honor for research accomplishments.  He has published over 100 articles in the fields of semiconductor crystal growth, laser fabrication, and chemical sensing using laser spectroscopy.

G. Carl Gibson has been Vice President for Business Development and Chief Financial Officer for the Ekips Technologies since July 2001. From March 2001 to July 2001, he was a consultant for a number of venture capital backed firms involved with strategic planning, funding strategies, financial structuring and accounting systems. From March 1997 to March 2001, Mr. Gibson was the Chief Financial officer of ZymeTx (NASDAQ:ZMTX), a biotechnology company that grew from a privately funded research project operating under a non-profit foundation to a NASDAQ listed public company. He received a BBA from the University of Oklahoma in 1981 and became a Certified Public Accountant in 1982.

Khosrow Namjou, Ph.D. has been the Company’s Senior Research Scientist since 2000. He has been an active researcher in infrared molecular spectroscopy for the past ten years and worked extensively conducting basic and applied R&D on the application of IR (infrared) laser spectroscopy to breath testing and other applications. Dr. Namjou received a M.S. degree in Engineering Physics from the Stevens Institute of Technology, Hoboken, New Jersey in 1991, and his Ph.D. in Physics from the Stevens Institute of Technology, Hoboken, New Jersey in 1998. Dr. Namjou is a co-patent holder of the Company’s intellectual property.

Gina McMillen, DVM, Ph.D. has been the Company’s Veterinary Medical Director
since 2004. Dr. McMillen has held prior positions managing veterinary clinical research with SyntroVet Inc. (1995 to 1997) and Heska Corp. (1997 to 1999). She received a B.S. degree in Agriculture from Kansas State University in 1987, Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Kansas State University in 1989, and her Ph.D. in Microbiology from Kansas State University in 1995.

Chad Roller, Ph.D. has been the Vice President for Laser Research of the Company since April 2005. Dr. Roller received a B.S. degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Oklahoma in 2000, an M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Oklahoma, and his Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from Rice University in 2005. Dr. Roller is a co-patent holder of the Company’s intellectual property.
